Latin America and ABWE Canada
From immense, bustling cities to isolated tribal villages, Latin America is one of the most diverse, beautiful, and contradictory regions on earth — where immense natural beauty coexists with terrible economic poverty, and where spiritual superstition clashes with the hope of the gospel.
Our missionaries have been involved in virtually every aspect of ministry to this region since we first opened a tiny outreach along the Amazon River in 1938. From those humble beginnings, we’ve seen God’s hand at work in ministries like our hospital — where thousands of people receive the love of Jesus through compassionate healthcare — and in our church planting works — which are now supporting their own missionaries and launching their own missions movements around the world.
We’re bringing hope to some of the poorest countries in the world through dozens of other ministries like schools, aviation, community outreaches, youth groups, church planting, and pastoral training.
Ministries in Latin America include:
- Aviation ministry
- Church planting
- Deaf ministries
- Education ministries
- Evangelism and discipleship
- Feeding centers
- Leadership training
- Missions movements
- Pregnancy crisis centers
- Team development
- Theological education
- Tribal ministries
- Youth ministries
We need missionaries to join us in these endeavors and help us share the gospel with the millions of people in this region who have yet to accept Jesus. Will you join us?
Have questions? We’d love to discuss how God is calling you.
