A good theme for this past year would be “Have faith in God” (Mark 11:22). On Saturday, ABWE Canada’s Corporation Members gathered to handle business, listen to missionary reports, and hear about God’s goodness. There is much to celebrate:
- in spite of a rough year for investments, ABWE Canada finished 2022 with a surplus, even after bringing on two new team members to our London office
- God’s people gave more to missionaries and projects than any year in history, topping the previous record by over $440,000
- more people are engaging with ABWE Canada’s “Global Family of Ministries”, including the Good Soil Evangelism & Discipleship ministry
- we are anticipating the appointment of at least 11 new Long-term and Mid-term missionaries in 2023
In addition, the Board of Directors approved the launch of the “Open Toronto Initiative”. Stay tuned for more information, as we seek to help reach the Unreached People Groups that God has brought to our doorstep.
Praise the Lord! May we “have faith in God” as we continue to pray for God to send out more workers into His harvest field (Matthew 9:38), and that He would enable us to assist more churches to fulfill their local & international mission objectives.
